The church is largely uncluttered and unadorned, allowing its medieval character to
clearly come through in its elegant simplicity. The ruins of the chancel, seen
through the lancet windows that pierce the east end, provide a spectacular backdrop
to services - particularly on those days when the sun streams through them.
The Priory has an atmosphere that many people are touched by and comment on.
Perhaps the most frequent of the many comments in the visitors' book
are "peaceful", "beautiful"
The acoustics of the church not only make it a superb venue for musical events, but
also somehow enhance our hymn singing efforts, helped, of course, by a great choir
(and particularly when the Vicar chooses hymns that we all know and love).
